What are the festival dates?

The main festival takes place on the 27th & 28th May 2023. There will be additional events included with Golden tickets taking place on the 26th & 29th May.

Where is the festival?

The main festival will take place at loanDepot park in 501 Marlins Way, Miami, FL 33125, United States.

What age do I have to be?

Afro Nation Miami is an all-ages event. To purchase alcoholic beverages at the festival you must be 21 years of age or older, and produce a valid form of I.D.

What are the festival times?

The main festival will start at 2pm in the afternoon each day and run until Midnight. Set times and a full program will be released closer to the festival dates.

What time do the Golden ticket parties start?

The ‘Official Welcome Party’ will run from 6pm – 2am on Friday 26th May. The ‘Jerk x Jollof’ party will run from 3pm – 11pm on Monday the 29th May.

What time is last entry?

The doors will close at 8pm. Please arrive early and allow extra time for queuing.

Where can I buy tickets?

Can I pay for my ticket using Karna?  

Yes, Klarna is available to spread the cost of your tickets when you pay by credit or debit card. Look for the flexible payment options at checkout. For more information please refer to this article 

Can I pay for my ticket using another payment plan option? 

Yes, we have a payment plan tickets available here  Please select pay “Part now, part later” during check-out in order to pay in instalments. 

If you pay via payment plan, you will pay the first instalment at the time of booking and then pay the subsequent instalments monthly. The schedule must be agreed by you at the time of booking. 

Please be aware the instalment amounts can differ between tickets, and that a payment plan option will not be available if you book after the 20th of April 2023. 

Payments must be made as per the terms on your payment plan or you risk the booking being cancelled and losing any monies already paid. 

If I book using the payment plan option, where can I view my booking details?

Once you’ve created your account and booked here, you can log into paymentplans.afronation.com/bookings to view what you’ve purchased and update your card details.

What’s included with a Golden Ticket?

Golden tickets include the following:

  • Two-day entry to the main festival arena (2 stages)
  • Access to the stadium floor (Stand right in front of the stage).

  • Official pre-party entry at Oasis Wynwood on 26th May
  • Official closing party entry at Oasis Wynwood on 29th May

What’s included with a VIP ticket?

VIP tickets include the following:

  • Two day entry to the main festival arena (2 stages)
  • Access to the stadium floor (Stand right in front of the stage).

What’s included with a GA ticket? 

GA tickets include the following:

  • Two day entry to the main festival arena (2 stages)

How is General Admission seating allocated within the stadium?

The GA seating will be free flowing for each tier. You will choose a level / tier at checkout. You can sit together with other GA ticket holders, who have tickets in the same tier.

Can I buy a single-day ticket?

Single-day tickets are available and will only grant access to the day of the event selected at purchase.

Are group tickets available?

Group tickets are available from each of our vendors. Buy 3 tickets get 1 ticket for free. Please select ‘group tickets’ option on Ticketmaster.

What is the difference between 1st and 2nd release tickets?

There is no difference between ticket tiers other than the price. As more ticket tiers are released, they go up in price, therefore the sooner you buy your ticket, the more you will save!

Can I upgrade my ticket?

There are no upgrades available once the booking has been confirmed, please consider this when making your booking.

Can I buy a single-day ticket?

Single-day tickets are not available at this time.

Can I buy a ticket on behalf of a friend or relative?

Yes, please refer to this Ticket Master article for more information.

When will I receive my festival ticket?

Ticket holders will receive their electronic ticket in the Ticketmaster App, no later than 72 hours before the event start date.

How do I know my ticket is valid?

Only tickets bought from Ticktemaster.com are valid, tickets from third-party sellers are not valid or genuine. To ensure you are buying a genuine ticket please follow the links & information on our website, please consider this before booking.

What do I need to bring to guarantee entry?

Please bring your e-ticket from the Ticketmaster App, the card you purchased the package with, and valid photo identification.

You may be refused entry to the experience if you fail to produce the relevant documents for entry.

What constitutes a valid photo ID?

Photographic forms of identification such as a passport or driving license are acceptable.

Can I make changes to, or cancel my Ticket?

Our Tickets are non-refundable, and non-changeable once the booking has been made. Tickets can be purchased on behalf of friends and transferred to them in the Ticketmaster App.

What happens if I lose my wristband?

Wristbands will only be issued once. Broken or lost wristbands cannot be replaced so please look after them.

Does the festival offer special assistance?

Patrons requesting accessible seating should purchase a General Admission ticket and contact Ticket Master support via this link to confirm their requirements.

How do I get there?

loanDepot park is located at 501 Marlins Way (NW 16th Avenue), Miami, Florida 33125. loanDepot park is less than two miles from downtown Miami, only three-quarters of a mile from the westbound SR 836 exit at 12th Avenue, and 0.4 miles from the eastbound exit at 17th Avenue. Via Interstate 95, the site is 1.25 miles from the NW 8th Street exit. For more info please visit the Miami Marlins Website.

Where should I stay?

As Miami is such a sought-after tourist destination, there is a huge selection of quality hotels, villas and apartments to choose from. We recommend staying in either Brickell, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Key Biscayne, South Beach, North Beach, Wynwood, Little Havana or Downtown Miami to be within a 30 minutes’ drive to the festival.

Which airport should I fly to?

Miami International Airport is Miami’s main airport and is a travel hub for the USA, therefore you can fly direct from most major airports globally. We also recommend checking flights to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport as you may be able to find better prices.

PERMITTED ITEMS

The following items are permitted inside the arena:

  • Banners, flags and/or signs no larger than 3’x5′ in size made of a light, flexible material. Please see “Banners” section for more information.
  • Digital and video cameras for personal use. Please see “Cameras/Electronics” section for more information.
  • Handheld mobile devices. Please see “Cameras/Electronics” section for more information.
  • One (1) clear, soft-sided factory sealed bottle of unflavored water, 20-ounces in size or smaller per person (any beverage which has been opened or partially consumed prior to entry will NOT be permitted)
  • One (1) single-serving food item per person packaged in a clear plastic bag (fruit must be sliced)
  • One (1) clear bag no larger than 16”x16”x8” and consisting of plastic, vinyl, or PVC material. Exceptions will be made for small clutches no larger than 6”x8” and bags for medical or infant purposes. All approved bags are subject to inspection. Please see “Bag Policy” section for more information.
  • Strollers for children with disabilities are permitted inside the arena. Please see “Accessibility Services” section for further information.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items will NOT be permitted inside the arena:

  • Aerosol cans (e.g. hairspray, sunscreen, compressed air, etc.)
  • Amplified music and noise making devices (e.g. air horns, bullhorns, loudspeakers, whistles, rattles, cowbells, thunder sticks, etc.)
  • Animals (except certified or in-training service animals).
  • Banners, flags and/or signs that do not comply with arena guidelines. Please see “Banners” section for more information.
  • Baseball bats, bases and large framed items (excluding small souvenir bats purchased at arena retail locations)
  • Beach balls, balloons or other inflatables
  • Costume masks (Exceptions may be made during special promotions and/or events)
  • Digital cameras with interchangeable lenses. Please see “Cameras/Electronics” section for more information.
  • Drones
  • Fireworks, flares or other incendiary devices
  • Frisbees or other sport objects that can be thrown (e.g. football, soccer ball, tennis ball, golf ball, etc.)
  • Full-sized brooms, sticks, rods, flag poles or selfie sticks
  • Glass/metal/aluminium containers, bottles or cans (e.g. travel thermoses, tumblers, etc.)
  • Hard-sided coolers/containers
  • Helmets (e.g. bicycle, motorcycle and/or baseball helmets, etc.)
  • Illegal drugs or paraphernalia
  • Laser devices or pointers, confetti, glitter or tinsel
  • Obscene, indecent or offensive clothing (e.g. bathing suits, vulgar/political words/phrases, images on clothing, etc.)
  • Outside alcoholic beverages
  • Paint of any kind
  • Professional/commercial-grade camera equipment (e.g. mono/tripods, etc.) Please see “Cameras/Electronics” section for more information.
  • Smokeless/chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes or vaping. Please see “Smoking Policy” section for more information.
  • Soft drinks or sports/energy drinks (e.g. Gatorade, juice, flavored waters, etc.)
  • Strollers are not permitted inside the arena with the exception of private suites. Strollers may be checked at the Home Plate or 3rd Base Entrances prior to entering the arena.
  • Toy weapons (e.g. guns, water guns, swords, knives, etc.)
  • Weapons of any kind regardless of permit (e.g. firearms, knives, tasers, nunchaku, pepper spray, mace, expandable batons, etc.)
  • Wheeled recreational devices (skateboards, roller blades, roller skates, wheeled footwear, bicycles, hover boards, razor boards, Segways, etc.)
  • Wrapped presents

Such items will be prohibited from being brought into the arena. There is no storage area for these items. Guests arriving by mass transit or ride share should take particular care not to bring any prohibited items, as no exceptions will be made.

BANNERS

Guests are permitted to bring and display banners inside the arena as long as they do not:

  • Exceed 3’x5′ in size
  • Contain wood, metal or other inflexible materials; light and flexible materials ONLY
  • Interfere with the game or other Guests’ enjoyment of the game
  • Obstruct existing arena signage
  • Contain any language that is:
  • Commercial – NO signage/ads pertaining to personal businesses or other commercial entities not associated with the Afro Nation organization
  • Political – NO statements regarding political affiliation, social and economic matters or other statements that undermine civil liberties
  • Obscene – NO foul language or disrespectful statements
  • Attach signs and/or banners to any arena wall, structure or pole of any sort
  • Parade through any part of the arena; may be displayed between innings ONLY.

CAMERAS/ ELECTRONICS

Digital cameras are permitted inside the arena. Guests are not permitted to transmit and/or stream, or aid in transmitting and/or streaming, any account, description, picture, video, audio, reproduction or other information about Afro Nation events.

Please adhere to the below guidelines for use of cameras:

Permitted

  • Digital and video cameras for personal use without interchangeable lenses
  • Mobile handheld devices

Prohibited

  • Digital cameras with interchangeable lenses
  • Mono/tripods, Selfie Sticks or any stabilization devices
  • Professional/commercial-grade camera equipment (ONLY permitted for authorized Media personnel)
  • Laptop computers & Tablets

BAG POLICY

Clear bags are permitted, cannot exceed 16”x16”x8” in size and must be plastic, vinyl, or PVC material. Exceptions will be made for small clutches no larger than 6”x8” and bags for medical or infant purposes. We reserve the right to thoroughly inspect approved bags, clothing, or other articles prior to entry into the arena. The event security may prohibit entry to any Guest or require removal of any items at their sole discretion.

SMOKING POLICY

Smoking, E-Cigarettes and Vaping are prohibited inside the arena. In consideration of all Guests, the Marlins ask for your cooperation. There are no designated smoking areas inside or outside of the arena and exiting and re-entry is prohibited for this purpose.

EXIT/ RE-ENTRY

Guests are not permitted to leave the ballpark and return using the same ticket. Re-admission into the ballpark will ONLY be allowed in the case of an emergency. Please see a Guest Services Team Member prior to exiting the arena.

What currency do I need to bring?

The official currency used is US Dollar, which can be bought easily at the bank, the post office or at the airport.

What is the local language?

The main languages spoken in Miami are English & Spanish.

What do I do in an emergency?

During the festival, there will be security, and staff on duty. For any emergencies, locate a member of staff, who will be able to assist or locate the correct assistance.

If a serious or life-threatening crime is being committed, please contact a member of staff or police officer immediately.

If, in the unlikely event you cannot find someone, please call 911 (the US Emergency Number).

Emergency Evacuation:

  • Be aware of your location inside the ballpark at all times.
  • Identify the two exits located nearest to your seats or your current location in the ballpark.
  • Listen, observe and follow instructions from the public-address/open-caption systems, video boards and high-definition televisions throughout the ballpark.
  • Do not panic.
  • Ask for assistance and information from Guest Services Team Members, Police, Emergency Medical Services and/or Security personnel.
  • Remain calm, walk to the exits at a normal pace and proceed to the nearest safe area.
  • Elevators and escalators are NOT operational during an evacuation.
  • Guests with disabilities should evacuate using a ramp or wait at an elevator for Security, Emergency Medical Services or other First Responders.
  • Guests are encouraged to take the following steps:
  • Should there be an immediate need to evacuate the ballpark, Guests will be given instructions by the public-address/open-caption systems. Exit instructions will also be posted on the video boards and high-definition televisions throughout the ballpark.
